[Would it be easier to have Zichen get it? Yes. But the assumption--worse, the telling of him to go to his warden--was insulting and scratched on a raw nerve of his. He was like a dog with his hackles raised now, ready to bark at the next suspicious sound.]
Of course I'd be prepared. Only fools go in on a whim.
[And so he will head there after taking his time to get some alcohol. He's really going to have to contribute to replenishing the speakeasy once he gets to experience a decent port. He's whistling a tune when he approaches.]
[After visiting the kitchens, Zichen carries some small cakes in a basket to the garden. He spies Collins and approaches him with a small smile and a polite bow.]
[He won't be doing any bowing anytime soon but he tips his hat in greeting.]
It's better than tha rest of tha deck. [Unadorned and all that. He does like the view of the stars though. They were both beautiful and horrifying at the same time at times.] Have a seat with me.
[He chose an area near the pond for them to reside and there's a bottle of whiskey and two glasses set nearby.]
[The reception is all he could hope for (and more in fact). He settles beside the pond and sets the basket between them, opening one of the flaps with a flick of his fingers.]
The stars feel eerie after awhile. [Like they are falling into them instead of gliding through them.] I tried to lay on the deck one night and it left me dizzy.
It certainly ain't like anything back home, that's fer certain.
[He nodded in agreement about the stars. As soon as they were both settled, Collins set about opening the bottle of whiskey and pouring them each a glass. He set Zichen's in front of him and took his own in hand.]
To tha new year. [He toasted, glass held out before taking a drink.]
[Zichen eyes the glass before gently touching it - and then lifting it. Sniffing the brew, he is surprised at the amount of alcohol he can detect. Ah, so this is stronger!]
I hope you find peace. [He toasts in return before drinking too. The burn makes him cough, but there is something...pleasant...about it too.]
[He didn't bother stifling the amused laugh brought on by Zichen's cough. Collins didn't even flinch when he drank the burning liquid, clearly used to its proof.]
Now that's tha good stuff. [He said with a smile.]
