Zichen doesn't relent; he knows they share a soft spot for this; for raw passion. He watches Xue Yang the entire time, teetering on the edge himself. Xue Yang grins happily. "Me too," he murmurs, "I'm happiest with you." Words he would've never thought he'd ever say - to anyone, but Song Lan in particular!
Zichen brings their lips together for a long kiss, soaking in the sweet taste of Xue Yang's lips.
"That we have this is..." he shakes his head, "I didn't like killing you. It left an ache inside of me. A hole. I couldn't forget how miserable you were." his fingers trace over Xue Yang's shoulder, "Then I was miserable and I had no one to even talk to."
Xue Yang ducks his head a little and runs his fingers along Song Lan's chest. "Don't feel bad about it. I didn't want to live at that point," he murmurs, voice subdued. "I felt like I had lost everything. There was nothing left for me."
"I did..." Xue Yang murmurs and smiles sadly. He nuzzles their noses together and kisses him. "It's okay. We have a chance now. And I'll... I'll make better choices this time." He never wants to hurt Song Lan the way he had again.
"You will. We... We both will." because his choices back then hadn't been the best either, "A-Yang, just...be honest with me. Even if you're afraid the truth will hurt, I want to hear it." he kisses his lover's chin and then the tip of his nose.
"Mmhm." Zichen is happy to give the compliments - Xue Yang has earned them, "You're adorable. You're selfless and brave. You're loving. I'm glad I came here. Even if my wish isn't fulfilled, I've known...you. The best parts of you."
Xue Yang blushes happily and nuzzles into Song Lan's shoulder. "You will have your wish fulfilled. I wouldn't have made it this far without you." He tilts his head up to press a kiss to his lover's jawline. "I love you."
"I do want to be warm for you." Zichen admits shyly, bringing Xue Yang's hand to his chest, "I want my heart to beat." his eyes close under the kiss and he smiles, "I love you too. We will be happy, A-Yang."
